Kevin Simmons is the Director, Life Cycle Services, Pressure Management, Emerson Final Control. Kevin joined Crosby Valve Inc. in 1995 and as North American Aftermarket Manager. In addition to his role in building a network of local PRV service and product assembly centers , Kevin has also served as a key account representative for PRV services to major global PRV users. Currently a member of the NBIC subcommittee on pressure relief Devices and the NBIC Main Committee, Kevin is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Valve Repair Council.

4-162113 - Refinery Reduces PRV Maintenance Costs by 35% with Emerson Software for Risk Based Inspection A 65-year-old refinery faced rising costs maintaining their aging pressure relief valves (PRVs). Adding to the challenge, specialized knowledge of these assets was rapidly decreasing as employees retired. A major driver for the high cost associated with PRV maintenance was the system in place to assign service intervals, which were not driven by empirical data. These intervals drove the direct cost of repair, as well as all associated costs including material handling, transportation and administrative costs, without adding any margin of safety.
