A major GTL in Qatar was facing issues with Health Monitoring of their critical Rotating Machinery (LPU Blowers). Accessing the machine safely to collect routine vibration data while under operation was challenging. These machines were just monitored once per month with portable device which was not sufficient to understand the exact machine health condition. They were exploring various solutions to implement in this running plant in a very limited budget & tight schedule. Their main focus was to move away from time based preventive maintenance to data based predictive maintenance with quick and easy implementable solution in this running plant. Operator should also get an insight to machine health and improved safety were few other criteria.
