Session Description

Upstream oil and gas producers have found it difficult to improve their operating pneumatic instrument efficiency to achieve reductions of vented methane at upstream oil and gas production assets. Fisher worked closely with GreenPath Energy, to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emission impacts from L2 level controllers without compromising performance reliability. Through controller relay improvements, field pilot vent rates were reduced by over 20scfh fuel gas equivalent. That reduced vent rate resulted in $2,000/yr in fuel gas savings and carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) credits realized.
