7-159504 - Prevent incidents and increase efficiency with floating roof monitoring

Session Speakers
Session Description

Though floating roof storage tanks provide many benefits, they also come with specific risks. A damaged, sunken, or collapsed roof means costly repairs, loss of storage capacity, and significant environmental and safety risks. Manual inspections should be carried out to detect damage to the roof, but this is often not done properly, if at all. Instead, non-critical damage is left unrepaired and will in time escalate into an emergency. Automatic Floating Roof Monitoring provides better safety, increased automatization of an otherwise manual task, and the ability to discover faults early. A new solution with wireless guided wave radars makes installation easier – just plug and play into an existing wireless network.
